This motivated me to actually read the bill. Its only got a few things I would like to see changed, for the most part it allows local law enforcement to, ah ..., enforce the law. Seems OK to me. There WAS a very good listing of charges for specific crimes. Class 1 misdemeanor for being here illegally, class 4 felony for repeated violations or after being deported, class 3 felony if you're illegal and in possession of a dangerous drug, a deadly weapon or an implement of terrorism. For some reason this last section (H1 & H2) is crossed out in the recent version of the bill. Too bad - those are the folks we REALLY want out of our state.
